THE RISING STAR OF MANYU: THE ACHIEVEMENTS OF LORD MAYOR NTUFAM AYAMBA JACQUES ITA

THE RISING STAR OF MANYU: THE ACHIEVEMENTS OF LORD MAYOR NTUFAM AYAMBA JACQUES ITA

By The Afrisocrat News Desk

Eyumojock subdivision in Manyu Division, South West Region of Cameroon, has long been known as a strategic border municipality, yet also one deeply affected by the Anglophone crisis. In the midst of turbulence and despair, one young leader has emerged as a symbol of peace, progress, and people-centered governance: Lord Mayor Ntufam Ayamba Jacques Ita

Dynamic, visionary, charitable, and deeply patriotic, the Lord Mayor has proven to be one of the most outstanding leaders not only in Manyu but in Cameroon at large. His record of service speaks volumes and has earned him admiration, support, and prayers from across the nation.

Restoring Peace and Normalcy

When he assumed office, Eyumojock was at the heart of the Anglophone crisis. Violence, fear, and instability ruled daily life. Through determined peace initiatives, dialogue, and reconciliation, Mayor Ayamba restored calm. Today, Eyumojock enjoys 99% peace, a remarkable achievement credited largely to his leadership.

Champion of Reconciliation

Among his most extraordinary achievements is his bold campaign to engage Ambazonian refugees. Nearly 1,000 radicalized refugees were convinced, converted, and voluntarily repatriated back to Cameroon under his watch. He personally facilitated their resettlement in Eyumojock, giving them a chance to rebuild their lives at home.

Promoter of Language and Identity

Mayor Ayamba Jacques Ita has championed the Ejagham identity.

Ejagham language has been introduced into the school curriculum of the subdivision.

The Ejagham tribe is now formally recognized in the Cameroon national portal, correcting decades of mistaken identity where Ejaghams were classified as Bayangis.

This cultural renaissance is restoring dignity to his people.

Education Advocate

Each year, he spearheads a Back-to-School Crusade, providing free uniforms, books, bags, and scholarships to children. His mission is simple but powerful: no child of Eyumojock should be left behind.

A Rare Philanthropist

Regarded as the most philanthropic mayor in the history of Eyumojock, Ntufam Ayamba Jacques Ita is often described as a “suicide giver”—someone who sacrifices even his own comfort to help others. His generosity transcends tribe, religion, or politics. Unlike many leaders, he gives quietly, without publicity stunts.

Peacemaker and Mediator

His palace is open 24/7 to the people of Eyumojock. Families, communities, and individuals flock to him with disputes, confident they will find fair resolution. Unity and solidarity are now hallmarks of the subdivision, thanks to his tireless mediation.

Guardian of Culture

A true son of Ejagham land, the Mayor has been the loudest promoter of Ejagham culture and tradition. He organizes festivals, football tournaments, seminars, and lectures—all aimed at preserving and teaching the rich history of his people.

Development Amid Crisis

Even when only two out of 65 communities (Ekok and Eyumojock town) remained functional at the peak of the crisis, Mayor Ayamba pressed on. Against all odds, he acquired road construction equipment—a tipper truck, grader, and loader—and opened up 98% of the subdivision’s roads (over 3,400 km). Farmers now transport goods to markets in Nigeria with ease.

Restoring Light and Energy

After eight years of darkness, solar panels and new power systems have brought electricity to integrated higher centers in Eyumojock under his leadership. This has breathed new life into education and business.

Defender of Workers’ Rights

Council staff under his tenure enjoy better lives. Salaries have been increased dramatically—from as low as 37,000 FCFA to 103,000 FCFA, and from 59,000 FCFA to 141,000 FCFA. Eyumojock Council stands out in Cameroon for having no salary arrears.

Urban Transformation

Eyumojock town and the Ekok border have been transformed into modern, attractive cities. Residents now proudly compare their towns with Ikom across the Nigerian border.

Economic Growth

With peace restored and roads reopened, economic activities have flourished. Farmers sell freely across the border, earning millions and boosting household incomes. Eyumojock has now become a citadel municipality closest to Africa’s biggest economy, Nigeria.

A True Pan-Africanist

Beyond his municipal achievements, Ntufam Ayamba Jacques Ita is a Pan-African to the core. He strongly advocates for the total emancipation of Africa and the restoration of Africa’s true identity through Africanism. He openly rejects all forms of imported religions that demonize African traditional spirituality, insisting that Africans must reconnect with the wisdom, values, and dignity of their ancestral heritage. His leadership is therefore not just local but continental in its vision.

A Visionary for Tomorrow

If Mayor Ntufam Ayamba Jacques Ita has achieved all these during instability, what more could he achieve now that peace has largely returned? The people of Eyumojock describe him as the most loved and celebrated mayor in their history.

He is a rare leader—youthful, humble, dynamic, and development-driven. His vision goes beyond Eyumojock to the whole of Manyu, the South West, Cameroon, and Africa at large.

Conclusion

Lord Mayor Ntufam Ayamba Jacques Ita represents a new generation of African leadership: bold, compassionate, visionary, and people-oriented. He deserves not only the support and encouragement of his people but also the prayers of all Cameroonians who dream of a peaceful, united, and prosperous nation.

IBRAHIM TRAORÉ AND THE OLD COLONIAL TRICK: HOW THE WEST DESTROYS LIBERATORS

IBRAHIM TRAORÉ AND THE OLD COLONIAL TRICK: HOW THE WEST DESTROYS LIBERATORS Throughout history, oppressors have perfected one simple method to eliminate liberators: “paint the dog black before killing it.” From Ruben Um Nyobé and Ernest Ouandié in Cameroon, to Thomas Sankara in Burkina Faso, Patrice Lumumba in Congo, Muammar Gaddafi in Libya, Saddam Hussein in Iraq, Martin Luther King Jr. and Malcolm X in the USA, and even Nelson Mandela before the world later embraced him, the playbook never changes. The West first brands them criminals, dictators, terrorists, or threats to stability. Then the media takes over, the people are deceived, and when the assassin’s bullet comes, the masses cheer. Today, the same script is being written against Captain Ibrahim Traoré of Burkina Faso. Young, fearless, and unapologetically Pan-African, he has become the most loved African president in the world, the nightmare of Western powers, and the inspiration of millions. Yet the West already paints him a...

MARRIAGE, LOVE, AND RELATIONSHIPS: AN AFRICAN PERSPECTIVE ROOTED IN WISDOM AND VALUES

MARRIAGE, LOVE, AND RELATIONSHIPS: AN AFRICAN PERSPECTIVE ROOTED IN WISDOM AND VALUES  In today’s world, social media has become a marketplace for every voice—loud or quiet, wise or foolish, experienced or inexperienced. Unfortunately, some of the loudest voices on platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok are those who are least qualified to advise others on delicate matters of family, love, and marriage. Popularity on social media does not equate to moral credibility. A person may have followers, but that does not mean they possess the wisdom, patience, or experience needed to guide others in matters of the heart. As Africans, our heritage teaches us that marriage and family are sacred. They require wisdom, emotional maturity, patience, tolerance, and moral discipline. These are not skills picked up from likes and comments—they are values nurtured over time through community living, cultural training, and elder guidance. The Toxicity of Unguided Advice Some relat...

WHY PAUL BIYA’S 8TH TERM IS A FRENCH PROJECT, NOT A CAMEROONIAN CHOICE

WHY PAUL BIYA’S 8TH TERM IS A FRENCH PROJECT, NOT A CAMEROONIAN CHOICE Introduction Cameroon stands at a historic crossroads. After more than four decades in power, President Paul Biya’s pursuit of an eighth term has provoked outrage, skepticism, and despair among many Cameroonians. Yet, beneath the surface, this longevity in office is not simply the result of domestic politics or popular will. It is, above all, a French project—engineered, sustained, and imposed by France to maintain its neo-colonial grip on Cameroon. The Weight of French Interests in Cameroon France has never hidden its deep economic, political, and military interests in Cameroon. From oil and gas in the Bakassi Peninsula to timber, cocoa, and infrastructure contracts, French companies dominate key sectors of the economy. To safeguard these interests, Paris has consistently backed regimes that guarantee continuity rather than change. Paul Biya’s government has offered France exactly that—predictability and compliance...
